NBA Instant Replay Question
I remember when instant replay was brought to the NBA it was stated that shots at the end of the fourth quarter and the end of any overtime period would be reviewed only if the affected the outcome of the game. I first saw this at the end of a Nets game last year and now tonight's Wizard/Bulls game a shot at the end of the fourth quarter was reviewed even though it didn't affect the outcome of the game. When was this policy changed?

The 2008-2009 rule book was the last rule book that had the provision of only reviewing shots made with 0:00 on the clock if it could affect the outcome of the game.
I'm not sure if that's the first year they went that route...could be just when they updated the rule book to reflect a change that already had been in effect.
