Cincinnati vs. Florida State

Designated spot throw-in violation by Cincy with 10.5 seconds remaining.

Joe DeRosa correctly called the violation WITHOUT using the traveling signal!

Thank you Joe!

"Whistle, open hand, verbiage indicating violation, point to the spot" should suffice.

Not a basketball guy, but I think I saw this. Cincy is on offense. Cincy player is positioned along the sideline at free throw depth. Cincy coach grabs the player and moves him about 6 feet toward the baseline. Is that legal?

But, Joe should have used preventive officiating and reminded the player he no longer had the privilege of the entire end line before he committed the violation! You've got to let the players decide the game in that situation!
