[26 Year Gap]

This was the last gym in Vermont with the restraining lines, no center line, backboards affixed to the wall, etc. I called numerous games there. One ending I remember had the home team scoring a bucket with less than 10 seconds left to pull within one point. The long baseball pass (okay--just past midcourt) by the visotrs struck an overhead cable rather than find a wide open teammate and the home team had a throw-in under their basket. 1st attempt batted trhough the lane and out on the other side and now there were 6 seconds remaining. Throw-in to the lead scorer wide open beyond the arc, and he.....drives to the hoop, loses the ball, claims he was fouled, fouls his opponent, and with the visitors hitting one of two with a second left, that was the ballgame.
