In the story, a school board member says the new gym will be "state of the art". I hope he means it will come with shock collars for the coaches.

And speaking of old gyms, due to the scheduling and availability situation in our area, our local kids rec league plays our girls HS games in an elementary school gym that has no three point lines, old wooden fan shaped backboards and enough space along the sides for one row of folding chairs on one side (player benches and scoretable, which is actually partly on the court) and about three rows on the other side (spectators). It's hard not to automatically start to signal a three when a long shot is taken.

Oh yeah, it's also got about three sets of lines on the floor for other sports, i.e.: volleyball. Very confusing.
