There is one more board participant not yet mentioned who was selected to work the Oregon 6A girls championship...icallfouls....he was 1-2 spots out of the boys 6A championship referenced in that video highlight link above....the top game in the Oregon HS playoff system.

He's a very good friend of mine and has been incredibly helpful to me over the last few years. I owe him a lot as I've followed him up the ladder. I don't always agree with him but his advice and influence have certainly contributed to putting me in a spot where I could be selected.

Thanks, Jim!

Jim is a great guy!

Cam, thank you for the acknowledgments. I would say that it is more about working hard, striving to improve every game, and not being complacent about our game.

BTW, the best piece of advice I ever got, came from a friend of ROCKY's and mine, "if you find yourself agreeing with ROCKY, be on the lookout for batman" :D

Good work Camron!

The game officials went with an intentional foul.

Congrats! Always nice to have your name called on the last day.

Congratz guys

Well deserved.

I would have went flagrant, kid throws the bow right at the kids jaw, he never made anything close to an attempt on the ball here.

Camron - I know I'm a little late to this party, but congrats on the assignment! Hopefully you were able to enjoy the whole experience, not just the game itself. Getting picked to work these games, no matter what the level, is something to be enjoyed.

Congrats Cameron :D :D :D

Question-why does Oregon operate in Two Man for the finals? Here anything section quarters and beyond is worked in three-man!

Good question....mostly $$$.

And while the overall amount to do it just in the tourney wouldn't be that big o f a deal. Those in power believe it is not a good thing to switch from 2 to 3 just for the playoffs....too many officials would not be sufficiently familiar or comfortable with it and it is probably believed that the net result would be worse.

At least in your system a high school official has a shot to work the state finals. Where I am, officials that work mostly college (and work the minimum number of HS games to qualify) dominate the state tournament and the same people go year after year after year.

Just talked to my friend who worked this game, he was the L on the play. He said from his angle he saw the kid stick his arm out but not push through it.

He said it was a double whistle, they got together and consensus was an intentional foul.

FYI, he hadn't seen the video until I showed him today. His response was, "Holy sh*t!!! If I had seen it from that angle I would have called a flagrant."
