Perhaps a little quick on the trigger there. Tough call for the L to make especially on the run.

Seems like all the L can see here is the shooter's back. Not sure how he could have gotten a better look - maybe slowed down and let the play go past him and then trailed it the last few feet down the court? That's tough in those quick steal/transition plays.

As far as the foul call, I would bet that he wants it back after seeing replays. But if most of us were in that position (including me) we would probably have made the same call.

I'm waiting for someone to say that the L can't run well enough so I can post a or two.

No foul; good defense.

They need the 4-man system I invented.

I know by previous calls I've made in the my career that I've been criticized for that I would not have called a foul on this play, I'm positive about that.

I think a lot of transition plays like this are called fouls. Our heart is racing from the fastest sprint of the night and our whistle comes to quick!
If we have a patient whistle and see the whole play, we can get the play right. I believe his whistle came before the player was even coming down and definitely before he landed.

But it's an exciting play for everyone, including us. Sometimes even the best jump the gun.
