I notice that Bob's post about what to do if we see spam posts here (basically nothing) is missing and there's quite a bit of spam posts today.

Bob - where are you buddy?

BTW - newbies (or anyone else, for that matter) - don't respond to spam posters in their thread.

When the administrators, or moderators, get rid of the spam thread, they will ban the spammers for life, and by accident, I'm sure, they may ban, for life, any Forum members that posted in spam thread. It's a real pain to get back on the on the Forum when one had been accidentally banned for life. I know, it happened to me twice. Thanks to the kindness of strangers, I was able to get back on both times. You guys really lucked out that I was able to return to the Forum. Count your blessings.

Bob is no longer moderating right now as it was way too big of a job for one person. I'm working to get at least a couple of moderators for each sport board.

Please DO report any spam on the boards ... it sends me an email and lets me know to delete the posts.

I'm evaluating a few different forums now to decide on whether to upgrade or move to a different forum ... will post more information as it is available.

This is part of the reason that we are making some changes —*I don't want that to happen to legitimate users.

My guess is that would not have happened had you not replied in those threads, just as Bob had advised us.

The first one was before the warning. In the second one, I was responding to a real post and didn't realize that after that post there was some spam.
