inbound

if inbounding player A passes the ball inbounds....of which the ball is deflected his way.... and he is in midair and retrives possession of the ball with one foot in midair one foot inbounds.......is this a violation??? do u need to have both feet inbounds if you are the inbounder before u can touch the ball???

Legal....a player is where they are touching. It doesn't matter how much of them is touching inbounds (just as long as nothing is touching out of bounds).

Which does not answer the OP's question: Do you get where you're going by having one foot inbounds or two feet?

That player must have something in and nothing out. It is not necessary to have both feet back inbounds.

Same with backcourt to frontcourt right. A1 jumps from backcourt to front court and catches the ball midair landing in frontcourt. BC violation. If they touch with one foot coming from backcourt but haven't touched with the other and then take a pass. Legal.

...assuming the team had front court established.

i.e. A2 in FC threw the ball to an airborne A1 who was jumping from BC to FC. BC violation as soon as it is touched/caught. He doesn't have to land for BC violation to occur.

Right. Point is you don't have to have both feet established to gain FC status. One is enough.
