Double free throw violation. B1 steps in as the shot is released, and the shot misses the rim. Second of two FTs.

Easy way out could be disconcertion on B1.

Thought about it, but couldn't justify it. He didn't enter until the ball was out of the shooter's hand. We called a few lane violations.

Gotta love MS boys.

What about the follow through :D

Yeah, I don't call fouls when the follow through wrist is hit, either. :D

He also said, "but couldnt justify it" I was just saying it "could be" by rule.

As rocky noted, I thought about it and the case play. I couldn't justify it becauase the shot was gone when he stepped in. I've called disconcertion, but never when the shot was released prior to the offending act.

We went to the arrow.

From a game management standpoint, hopefully the arrow was pointing the other way?

If not, I'm sure Team B would've prefered giving up an extra FT as opposed to the chance for a 4 or 5 point play.

I pretty much knew you had it correct, since you pointed out it was the 2nd of 2 free throws, I just wanted to have you spell it out for those that were interested.

I thought I'd pause for effect.

It wasn't that big a deal; just told the coaches what the rule was, and they were both fine with it. It was an odd enough situation that I took a moment to explain it to them. It ended up being B's ball, but explaining the arrow is the rule would have soothed the issue if it went to A.

Why should that matter. If B wanted the best outcome, they wouldn't have violated. In that case, they'd get the ball AND keep the arrow.
