Right, like the time I told a coach we needed a sub for a player, because her hair was covering her number.

Oh wait, that was last month.

(I'm going back there today. Mea culpa time.)

It happened to me this year. One of the few 3 man games I've had. I'm trail. Girl is 6 feet in front of me. She bobbled the ball for no apparent reason. I didn't see her move her foot at all. I wouldn't have called anything without the bobble. C whistled a travel from across the gym. Only time in 26 years I ever said sh*t out loud (barely) around my whistle.

The call was made by one of the most experienced veterans we have.

Several years ago, twice in the same week, I reached through a crowd to call traveling when I thought the player stood up off of a knee. I can also tell you which gym, which partner, and how quickly I apologized to each.

Does it matter if she moved her foot during a fumble and subsequent recovery?

No, but the portion after what you highlighted explains why he included it.

Actually, I was speed reading his post, and thought that it was oddly worded, until I re-read his post. I figured that this would be a good time to do a little tongue in cheek postings in just another ref's honor. I hope he realizes that most of us here on the Forum, in any case, at least me, know that he wouldn't go that far out of his primary to make that type of call. Very few of us would. If he was offended, than I apologize.
