That's Right, It Can Happen, Probably Not, But It Can Happen ...
And sometimes the coach says to the player, "Yeah. You fouled him. Next time keep your arms straight up. Now quit whining and get your head in the game", or something along those lines.

I just tell the players, "You are not in the NBA, when you get more zeros by your name you an do that." The point is usually taken and I do not see it anymore after that.

In my small area of the world we refer to this as the "Jesus arms." As soon as we see it we address it as showing up the officials and inciting team mates and fans, letting them know that they don't agree with the official's call. We tell the captain and coaches we will not allow players to consistantly do that and we don't want to see it any more. If we do it will warrant an "T" for unsportsmanlike conduct.
