Is saving the ball considered team possession
NCAA: B1 knocks the ball away from A1 and as the ball is about to go out of bounds B2 jumps in the air, grabs the ball with one hand and throws it back into the court. Team A goes and gets the ball. Is that throw by B2 enough to be considered team possession to reset the shot clock?
We had this happen last week and the officials had to huddle on this one. |

If B's actions were a "bat", then it was not posession, and no new shot clock. |
I agree with Bob. These can be tricky sometimes.

Thanks all. Makes sense, one of those you had to be there to see it plays.
