Try to schedule a game were you have experienced refs calling it. Have your class in the stands for the first half and ask questions on why they think X was called and Y was not. For the second half have them on the floor behind the bench so they can see what a coach is seeing.

I like this idea, although I'm not sure we'll have time to squeeze it in. Worth working on, though.

Ya know, it amazes me that every time they show this game the Sox manage lose it yet again. You would think that just once someone would plunk Dent with a fastball in the kidneys...just once. Anyway, at one point Nettles struck out on a nasty slider...I muttered "damn"...my wife just smiled & shook her head. :)

I'm still trying to figure out how Yaz pulled one into the right field stands off a Guidry (who was a lefty) slider that was down and away.

Actually, Guidry probably still is a lefty. ;)
