Hey guys...and gals, the other day I noticed on an official stats sheet a reference for "dead ball rebounds". Can some one please enlighten me as to what constitutes a dead ball rebound, and are they personal, team or can they be both?? Actually it sounds to me as if some stats guy hasn't got enough to worry about! Thanks for any and all help!

In my limited experience in the stats world, a dead ball rebound example would be a missed free throw that isn't rebounded and goes out of bounds. A dead ball rebound is awarded to the team that is awarded the ball out of bounds.

Hope this helps.
