With the caveat that the throw-in spot for the kicked ball is the baseline where the throw-in started,and not a throw-in spot on a sideline or the opposite endline.

OK, let's whatif the hell out of this. . .A1 throws in to A2. The ball is legally touched by A2 but he doesn't gain control. Then a kick by B1. What do you got? I know this board thrives on the hypothetical situations like this that occur once every 10,000 games. . .

The throw-in ended when A2 touched the ball. Spot throw for A.

Agree, since a throw-in ends when a ball is legally touched in bounds. A kick doesn't constitute a legal touch, but the deflection would.

The throw-in also ends when the throw-in pass touches a player inbounds or out of bounds.
