Wouldn't this be a fun game to officiate or even just to watch?

I just caught a bit of this on CNN Headline News. Had one in this area that was 17 to 14, but no OT.

I played in a JV game with that stratgey in HS -- other team came out in a stall. But in those days the team that was behind (or the defense if tied) was required to come out and defend in the midcourt area, at pains of a T. (I think we got one T before we really understood how it worked.) Seems to me that witout the shot clock, the old rule was a good one.

Here in MA, the public schools use the shot clock, but there is a league of prep schools and they don't use the shot clock. I did one of their games recently and the team that was ahead decided to hold for the last shot of the first half. They held it for about 1:30. But even with that smaller amount of time, the fans were really yelling about it. "BOR-ing! BOR-ing!", for the most part. I can't imagine what the fans must've done while watching a team do it for the whole 32 mintues.

UNC did it several years ago (4 corners)-- can't remember who they played.

My HS team had a player vying for the conference scoring title (30.5 ppg; IT wasn’t me.)

We played our arch-rival in the last game of the season. Yep. STALL BALL was their strategy. Final score 10-9, we won, but our player lost out on the scoring title.
