Team A throw-in under A's basket. Inbounds pass goes to A1 who jumps from the front court, catches the ball in the air and passes the ball to A2 who is in the backcourt.

Yeah, I've got a violation, and as the crowd is screaming, I am wishing that A1 had only tipped it to his teammate.
But, what the Hay, they'll forget that call when I blow the next one.

FC possession established with A1's Catch.

The exception to the BC rule allows A1 to catch the ball and land in the BC. It does not allow him to pass the ball to A2. Check the case plays under 9.9.
