Its OVER

Last MAYB tourney of the summer (thank God) 9 games in 2 days:

1 player technical
3 intentionals
1 player ejection

And that was just on my court, 3 courts total & I heard mine had the least amount of problems
I cant remember the last time I had to toss a player.

A1 on a fastbreak alights for a try, B1 leg swipes the airborn shooter (TWEET) see ya later, bye!

B1: "My hands were straight up ref!!"

Next game, same team & I notice the ejected player is warming up.
Gym supervisor says no dice, sit one!

Was this a tournament rule or did he just make it up on the spot? If it wasn't written in the rules for that tournament, I would challenge it if I were that player's coach, unless it was stated that the tournament was being played under that state's HS rules and sitting out one game if ejected was a rule for that state.

I'm not saying it was a bad idea, in fact, I think it was a good idea. I was just curious as to how he justified it.

Apparently the tournament followed CHSAA rules... I'm not sure what penalty an ejection carries over.

The gym supervisor handled the situation prior to tip-off as my partner & I watched from afar.
I can tell you that the conversation between them took all of 10 seconds.
As a matter of fact, the coach didn't even ask me "why" his player got ran in the 1st game. Perhaps he had a great look 60+ feet away.

I thought this thread was going to be about the NFL lockout.
