Another free throw question:

Alert referee announces "one and one."
A1 shoots free throw which bounces off the rim, does not enter basket.
All players stand there like statues.
Ball goes out of bounds (untouched).
Does Team B get ball since A1 caused it to go OOB?
Or, do you go with AP, as if it had not gone OOB?

In play 1, no one touched the ball before it went OOB.
So, the shooter was the last to touch it before that.

In play 2, no one touched the ball after the shot, and it remained on the court.

Maybe the refs just stand there and wait for someone to wake up and play the ball?

1. Yes
2. Yes (Had to edit, or add to my Yes response), Yes you could wait untill somebody got "smart" enough to go for the ball...BTW, the trail would still have his hand up, as no one has touched the ball to start the clock.)

Dude

Marty, if the shooter was the last one to touch the ball, then he caused it to go OOB.
