Last night I learned the reason for mechanics. My partner last night had no clue as to proper mechanics. Examples: (1) Whistle blows (btw I think he had a Fox 5, I could hear the pea at the other endline) rushes to the table "12 white" and that would be it. Left the coaches, players and MYSELF lost. (2) Administered the free-throw and stepped opposite table side. (3) Blew his whistle everytime he administered the ball for a throw-in. No arm straight in the air, fist close etc, etc,. This was a Rec game with 10-12 year olds. His lack of mechanics didn't get us in trouble. Really shows, most folks don't know our procedures. I love it!

Help that person out! Rec ball is the perfect time to help people like this out and drop them some pointers. I know that it might seem frustrating at the time but we all started somewhere. Patience is the key here and we have to tell ourselves that when we are working any level.
