gj56, You had it right the first time you informed the coach. Too bad you got confused. You'll know for next time that ANYTIME a T is charged in a game, ANY team member of the opposing team may shoot the free throws unless he has been disqualified.
Slow down Nevada! Any eligible member of the opposing team may shoot the free throws. This means that if a player has left the game and no time has run off of the clock, he is not eligible to shoot the free throws. A small but very important difference to what you said.

You are right! If A1 is subbed out and then a T is called before the clock starts, he may not re-enter and shoot, since he is not an eligible substitute at this time. Nice catch!
