OK - this wasn't the McDonald's game, but -
 
Watched one of the ESPN RISE HS games today. There was a charge called under the basket. I don't know who was doing the commentary but he said the official got it wrong because the decision on whether that should be a charge or a block was determined by how close they are to being under the basket.

Did the FED rules change last night when I was sleeping. Oh wait - it's just another moronic comment by a TV analyst.

Could have been a guy that's used to doing men's college games? If a secondary defender attempts to take a charge under the basket, the correct call would be a block in NCAA-M. Of course, the announcer's explanation of how a block/charge play is still silly.

Absolutely. I worked a state all-star event recently. With a 20 point lead and a minute 30 left. I put my whistle inside my shirt. All they wanted to do at that point is dunk. :D
