Exclamation

Apparently, the rule changes for 2000-2001 are out from the NF, but they are not yet posted on their website.

Some knowledgable people seem to have them, specifically Camron Rust who might have got them from Howard Mayo, who is a member of the NF rules committee.

As you may expect, there are few that will change the way the game is administered, with most of them being clarifications.

As I see it, the only one that truly affects the game is that 20 seconds timeouts have been changed to 30 seconds. Teams now receive 3 fulls and 2 "30s."

Also, someone else released that the verbiage about the word "torso" regarding the charge/block call has been deleted.

This info came from another board. I would suggest we wait for the official NF press release to be distributed/posted before making judgements and/or comments.

Actually, it's on their site already: http://www.nfhs.org/rules-basketball.htm

Twenty-second (20) time-outs have been increased to thirty (30) seconds. This results in three full and two 30-second time-outs permitted for regulation play.
