Inadvertent whistle
I will try to give details and ask for opinions. If any casebook or rule let me know as I only do High School. This is Div 3 Womens game. Team A driving baseline Team B attempts block on shot. Quick whistle and shows jump ball signal while girl completes play and makes basket . Official calls inadvertent whistle and gives ball to Team A. Does not count basket. Your thoughts. Was this correct ruling if not what should it have been. Thanks

The ball became dead on the inadvertent whistle. Play was handled correctly.
