I understand that if we have simultaneous personal fouls, that the ball goes out of bounds at the spot of the foul. What foul decides where the ball goes in NFHS. If we have a foul under the basket, and a fould on the dribbler out top, where is the ball placed? Also where do you get your ruling for placement of the ball, I looked through the rulebook and case book, and cannot locate a play.

This is an easy one. Never call it. Put it in the same category as multiple fouls.

The rule of whistle is that the only time two fouls occur at exactly the same time is if you have a double foul call. And those come only after 54 warnings.

shawn, we were told at our interpretation meeting for HS that the ball is put in play at the spot closest to where the ball was at the time of the simultaneous fouls.

In NCAA, the ruling is explicitly in the rulebook and is different from HS. The ball is put back in play at the spot closest to where the inbounder's opponent's foul occured.

The spot for the throw in is determined by where the team not entitled to the AP commits their foul i.e.-if A has the arrow,the throw in is closest OOB spot to B's foul.

I think that you are thinking of Double Personal Fouls, but a simultaneous foul is not an AP situation.

Simulataneous technical or personal fouls always result in going to the AP arrow. Read 6-3-3.

Ok, I went to the website. It's on the website, and the website definitely says that it's the spot closest to the opponent's foul (same as NCAA). So why doesn't the rulebook say it? :(
