Not my State Tourney run, not my 1st college game, not my 1st ABA game. It's the hood game! YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I got 1:08 - 1:18 & 1:32 - 1:42 give or take a second

I wasnt in the slot on the FTs... but had that call been made, I have a funny feeling in our post-game the 2 State evaluators & our Commish would've said, "Right call, wrong time, good luck getting to your vehicles!"

LOL, fair enough. Even if I'm counting regular speed, I'm not even thinking about a call until I get to 12 or 13. Although I might remind the shooter that he only gets 10 seconds.

Yeah, exactly right. I struggle with this issue, though. You don't WANT to have to make the bang-bang 5-second call on a late-game crucial throw-in, but what's the strategy?

Count slower? Count to 7? Forget to count until people start screaming, then blow the whistle?

5 second throw-in violations (called my share) are far more common than 10 second FT violation (never seen one let alone called one). I guess if the crowd counted down like they did on Karl Malones FTs it would call itself.

It was great, thanks JR!
Guess I'll be in the stands on Saturday, what would people think if I got that game 3 years in a row

A team is getting a definite advantage imo if they get longer than 5-seconds on a contested throw-in. What possible advantage does a FT shooter gain if he gets an additional 2 seconds to shoot?

Do you verbalize "1,009"?

Oh, just got to the end. Great ending. However, I"m pretty sure you're not the L, why is he signaling count the basket? That's a great way to F your crew over if the C opposite is waving it off.

I'm the black guy on the crew...

We are an IAABO state, calling official goes opposite table.

The scoreboard on the south end was out... we pregamed that the L has the last second shot on that end. Low & behold, it went down just like that
