Had this very situation except it occurred on the sideline. I called a violation. Is there a rule I could reference on this situation. I looked but could not find one. Maybe the absence of the rule is the point.

I'm glad to see you back!! And with your signature expressing your opinion, even though there was some controversy before. Your modification is a good one and should make it more acceptable, I hope (although I didn't have a problem with the original--signature lines are for opinions, and personal disclosure). Hope you'll stick around through the season. What kind of schedule are you expecting?
