Exclamation OT - is this scary or what!

Guess who will be in attendance at my local high school's game tonight? A live tiger! The school's teams are called the "Tigers". Here's a short version of the story:

"Tigard High School’s Sports Marketing 2 class will host a jungle-themed event, which will include a live tiger, tonight at its basketball doubleheader against Glencoe. The class is requesting everyone who attends to wear white. The Tiger arrives at 5 p.m. before the 5:45 p.m. tipoff for the girls game, followed by the 7:30 p.m. tipoff of the boys game."

OK - what would you do if the tiger roared whenever an opponent was going to shoot a free throw - eject him? Good luck with that. Also, does "wearing white" have something to do with keeping the tiger calm? I pity the fool who wears the school color of green.

Oh yeah - I assume the tiger will be in a cage.

Or Black and White - the colors most favored by Zebra, which according to Webster's is a delicious and well balanced meal for most tigers and lions.

What? Tigers are native to much of eastern and southern Asia. Zebras range from the south of Ethiopia right through east Africa as far south as Angola and eastern South Africa.

Now lets discuss the loss of penguin habitat in the Arctic.

Technical Foul On K-9 ...

Once had a game at an urban State technical high school in which the State police had responsibility for crowd control. This trooper brought his K-9 partner that night. They both stood in the corner the entire game. Every few minutes the big German shepherd would bark loudly. Scared the **** out of me when I was the lead in that corner. True story.
