Instead of telling the kid how great of a player he is, tell the kid that if he does not get an education, he is in big trouble. Every kid thinks he is going to hit the lottery by making the NBA. If someone around him does not keep his feet on the ground, he might not value anything else. You can make them go to class, but that does not mean they will learn anything if they are not there to do that in their own value system. Peace
