1. Discussing things we'd like to say is different than actually saying them.
2. Mark may have left out the familiarity with that particular coach, and it certainly affects my opinion of the exchange, but I still think it's inappropriate. The coaches and officials aren't the only ones who are going to hear it.
3. You're right; but I've never disputed that.

I said that we wish we COULD have said that, not that we wish we HAD said that. I agree, there are many things we would love to tell a coach but ethics and professionalism prevents us from making such comments (at least we are with friends and a good watering hole, .)
