The same thing goes there. The average age of the folks that play video games is not a teenager. And certainly not a teenager playing those games on the XBOX and PS3 games. The Wii is for the kids. :D

As a self-proclaimed gamer, I can tell you that you won't find many games rated AO on any game system. All major retail stores won't sell titles above an M rating (which was why Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was temporary pulled off the shelves when the Hot Coffee mod was discovered and retroactively given an AO rating instead of M. Rockstar Games had to re-release the game without the mod and get re-rated an M before retailers would sell the game again). Some will even go so far as to restrict sales of M rated games to minors.

Democ...nevermind.

chseagle Wed Dec 15, 2010 11:30pm

What I'm meaning is that I have both a PS3 & Wii, & have some knowledge of the gaming systems.

On my PS3 I have Dante's Inferno, GTA IV, GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, God of War Collection, & Ninja Gaiden Sigma. All have an ESRB-Rating of M.

Depending on the training the store associates have, they should automatically ask for ID when picking up M-rated games. The 2 stores I normally pick up my games from always ask for my ID when I have picked up an M-Rated game.

I have found on occasion an AO-Rated game at Walmart & GameStop.

Xbox 360 guy here...a majority of the games I have besides sports games are rated M games. I'm actually shocked that you found a game rated AO at Walmart. That's selling the equivalent of an X-rated movie!

Okay, that's enough off-topic for me.

The player becomes bench personnel when the coach is notified not when the player is notified. Also on the video it seems like the official notified the player immediately after the foul was called which caused him to attack the official.

Tastes great. Less filling.

Not that it has anything to do with this thread, but I am 55 and I am on facebook everyday.

I would argue that it does not taste great, well, doesn't smell great anyway, because I have never had a beer in my life.

Oh ya, people have been talking about Assange and WikiLeaks since 2006. You just don't know where to look. And previously, Assange was praised for things he did. Now that there are false sexual accusations against him, people listen. Sex sells remains true.

Personally, I thought Assange was a dirtbag before the sex stuff came out; and I dont' think we can call them unfounded (any more than we can clame the opposite.)

I'm not saying those were "good ol' days"...but, somewhere between there and where we are now seems more reasonable.

I guess that's one of the reasons i got out of teaching, after just one year, at the age of 23.

Rocky sounds like he has a story (or two)...well, i have one i will share.

Once upon a time...there was this young 23 year old p.e. Teacher/coach coming in from track practice with his middle school kids. Some h.s. Kids were milling around the outside locker room entrance. (the high school and middle school were on the same grounds, as this was a small rural school in southern idaho.)

well, as the young teacher was getting ready to enter the building, a h.s. Kid says, "hey dude, what's up?"...and preceded to knock the baseball cap off the young teacher's head.

Young teacher saw red...grabbed the h.s. Kid by the back of his collar and not very gently at all put his head on the pavement. The h.s. Kid was then directed to "pick up my hat". After some time of feeling around on the ground for the hat...his cheek was against the pavement...he found it and handed the hat over to the young teacher. The young teacher must have still been seeing red because as soon as the young teacher had hat in hand, he gave the h.s. Kid a good shove against a nearby car.

Probably not the best way to handle it...and for sure this young teacher had not been taught that in his college education methods class...but, you know what? That h.s. Troublemaker (i guess he had a rep) was a perfect gentleman every time that young teacher saw him after that. It was mr. This and mr. That.

I know that story could have had all kinds of bad endings...but, lucky for this young teacher...nothing came of it.

Soooo, that young teacher could have been fired...well, this ol' basketball offical might get fired if he thinks he is in physical danger and reacts accordingly. I.e. Defending one's self.

Arrested?...we'll work it out in the courts.

Older? You consider over 26 older?

I need to get out my walker. Get off my lawn! It hurts when I pee!

There is a difference between older and being old. Older than the age group he originally gave for sure. ;)

Since you said that "older" people are 34+ (late 30s), you would be wrong. 63% are 34 and under, while the other 37% are 35+.

Judtech Thu Dec 16, 2010 12:59pm

JRut well non of the Cool People use MLA...please they are SUCH posers!!

I prefer Ford over Chevy but only post bail out. Otherwise it is a tie.
I think it is neither great tasting nor less filling b/c although I rarely drink beer, when I do I prefer...........NOT MILLER!
Coca Cola by a MILE!!
PC over Mac simply b/c of the range of options
I have both a Wii and a 360. Love FIFA but also enjoy Call of Duty and Medal of Honor. Wii I use mainly for the Wii Fit and Wii Active

JugglingReferee Thu Dec 16, 2010 01:01pm

So a day later, the player has removed his picture from Facebook and no longer allows public access to his Wall.

No doubt in my mind he's had a hard time the past few days - and that he's been contacted via Facebook.

I said people that use the site. Use means that you are actively participating on the site and use it often. And this information was in early 2009, things have changed since and there is more information since. You should never take data from one place ever to prove or disprove a point. I just used that to show some data.

And folks that were said to be the largest group are not as big as the people that are older. Again I also said the average, which means it does not factor in everything. Averages can be skewed if you have numbers from one extreme to the other. I also just finished taking a Methods course and there are all kinds of way to analyze data. And you would have to take more than who holds an "account" to say who is using something more. I can own a car, but if I do not drive it that information is important if I am studying how many folks drive. My claim has always been usage as far as the vast majority of people I know personally that have an account are older and those individuals use it quite often.

Peace

Sure is an interesting way to try to talk your way out of something. You said "the majority of people that have an account", which to most of us would mean "users". I agree that there are different ways to analyze data, but this data is pretty cut and dry. The majority of Facebook users (people with an account) are under 35.

My pie graph was from January 2010. If you can come up with something more recent that proves your point, then by all means post it.

Rut is also a football Back Judge. There's the snap... and it's an obvious passing play.

Watch him back-peddle.

One thing I noticed on the video is that after the first dead ball push by the Desoto player, the assistant coach gave the traditional arms open "my player didn't do anything".
