FT Fun!

Disconcertion?
A1 shooting a FT. B1 on the lane lets out a nice belch. Not too loud, but loud enough for me to hear (since I was standing next to her) and some of the other players. Not sure the FT shooter heard. Obviously, this social faux paux started the players giggling while the FT shooter goes through her routine. By the time she sets to shoot, the giggles turn to laughter (both teams) and the shooter breaks out in a smile. She proceedes to miss the shot. I passed on it since it really didn't break her rythm. Plus, would it be a double violation since BOTH teams were laughing? Would I have needed to identify the first GIGGLER or the first LAUGHER in order to establish the correct call?

Yeah, but those are typically S.B.D.s.

That said, this is the funniest thread I've read in a long time.

Actually the character of Norm Peterson was based on the real life Jurassic Referee. They're one in the same.

Did you call games about 40 miles east of Syracuse in your younger days?

Obviously, you've never had a partner yell out, "One on one".
