Smile OT - Happy Hanukkah

Of course, there's at least 50 different ways to spell it. One guy who really knows how to celebrate it is Adam Sandler.

Anyway, have a happy eight days. Of course, I haven't received a present from my wife yet - so what's new?

Is that part 1, 2, or 3??

Speaking of Chanukkah, Sirius XM has a station devoted to the "8 crazy nights".

Can''t Wait For Part Four, Maybe This Year ???

My favorite Chanukah traditions always include watching these, and I'm Catholic.

Adam Sandler's "Chanukah Song"

Part I (1994):

Part II (1999):

Part III (2002):

We light these lights for the miracles and the wonders, for the redemption and the battles that you made for our forefathers, in those days at this season, through your holy priests. During all eight days of Hanukkah these lights are sacred, and we are not permitted to make ordinary use of them except for to look at them in order to express thanks and praise to Your great Name for Your miracles, Your wonders and Your salvations.

Eight Days Of Chanukah ...

Driving home from work the other night listening to drive time talk radio. A rabbi is the guest on the show and he will light the menorah in the studio after sunset. Radio host, not Jewish, asks the rabbi about the meaning of Chanukah. The rabbi responds that Chanukah has the same traditional theme as the other major Jewish holy days: "Someone tries to kill all the Jews. They survive. They sit down. They eat." That's the Old Testament in an nutshell.

And the morale of the story is "Don't Mess With The Zohan".
