I do Facebook. I've always been real big on networking. Felt that I never know where someone I knew would be able to help me out or vice versa. I'm not real big on how some people just add all kinds of people for the sake of adding them. I have about 600 friends on there and can honestly say I know all of them from some point in real life.

Me too. All but the "I'm BITS" portion of course.

I"m with them. Will there be donuts and coffee at the FB Anon Meeting?

Agreed. My policy is that I never add somebody unless I've met them in person, and I can remember them! (It makes for awkward moments when you get that vague friend request, but I believe it's right.)

About 15-20 of my FB friends are also officials. Everyone is pretty cautious about posting game stuff. I've seen one friend mention a forthcoming game, but never have I seen anyone comment about a game. That's just asking for trouble.

I don't post about specific games; I have officiating friends on FB and I may mention that I am working on a certain night but I never specify where nor do I make any comments about the game I have worked. You just never know who might see it or how they may take it. Of course, it's best to be careful about anything you post on a public forum. One moment of stupidity can come back to haunt you down the road.

I think FaceBook is great

It's been said that the largest new group to start using Facebook is the 40-60 year olds. I'm one of those. I made a sugestion to my BB Officials group here is So. Cal. that we should have a group site for our unit. We could share videos and game questions and requests. It could be a great tool for the newbies who have lots of questions. Like useing the Arbitor for instance.

I use Facebook. It's a great way for me to keep in touch with old HS and college friends.
