So their association is upset because the officials didn't ask for permission to use the whistles ahead of time and the association thinks that sets a bad example for the students who will now break rules because they will now think it's OK to do so.

WOW - can you imagine a team doing something so radical as to wear the pink ribbons on their jerseys to show their support for the charity without asking permission first!!! If some kids did that, they should be thrown off the team, expelled from school and beheaded!

They ought to take those association officers down to spend some time visiting a cancer ward and then see if they still feel the same way. I know, I know, that's not their point, but the only point I see them making is the ones on the tops of their heads.
