Wireless Devices and Arbiter
What wireless phones have you been able to use to access the arbiter. I am looking at getting a new smart phone with Verizon and am thinking of the Droid, Palm Pre or a blackberry.
Any experience anyone has with these phones and the arbiter site would be of assistance. |
I-Phone works great with The Arbiter, but the problem is the I-Phone doesn't work great as a Phone. (AT&T) Good luck with your choice.

I've got the Storm, and it allows me to view arbiter, but the functionality isn't that great and I haven't figured out how to get it to remember my password. Others said the browser for blackberry doesn't work well with Arbiter, so I use Opera.

Palm Pre
Palm Pre used to work great. It is one of the reasons that I got the phone. I have sprint service. Did a software upgrade about 6 months ago and it stopped working. Get a time out message. Sprint said wait till next upgrade and it will be fixed.
Next upgrade came and it worked like a champ for about 24 hours and it has stopped again. Frustration! Sprint has been little to no help. |
The iphone browser, Safari works well with Arbiter. I have been able to use all the functionality of the site. The biggest problem is that the pages appear so small and must be re-sized to be useful. I have been working through it this season.
As has been discussed previously, Arbiter REALLY needs to develop app(s) for smart phones. It would be a huge selling point for their product. My guess is that priorities are now different since the NCAA purchased it. |
