Wow. I didn't know that there were any Official Forum members, with the exception of Mark T. DeNucci, Sr., as old as me. I loved watching Lassie on Sunday nights, usually in front of my grandfather's console television. I believe that it was on immediately after Walter Cronkite's The Twentieth Century.

My BlackBerry Pearl will access the site but will not allow me to navigate. Very frustrating. Next phone purchase will be an iPhone.

Thanks for playing.

The operator on Petticoat Junction and Green Acres was also named Sarah.
The same woman, or just an eerie coincidence?

I'm guessing Rut never watches these shows either.:D

Remember what happened when Walnut Grove got their first switchboard? Her name wasn't Sarah and she wasn't sweet.

Let's All Sing Along....

Come ride the little train that is rolling down the tracks to the junction. (Petticoat Junction)
Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction. (Petticoat Junction)

Lotsa curves, you bet. Even more when you get to the junction, Petticoat Junction.

There's a little hotel called the Shady Rest at the junction. (Petticoat Junction)
It is run by Kate, come and be her guest at the junction. (Petticoat Junction)
And that's Uncle Joe, he's a movin' kind of slow at the junction, Petticoat Junction.

Now, get that one out of your head....... :p

Then why is it still on in reruns? Here's one for you. A channel here in Portland still runs Perry Mason reruns M-F at noon. They've been doing this for something like 40 years (not kidding). Whenever anyone asks them when they're going to stop, their reply is, "when people stop watching it".

If the iPhone becomes available through Verizon, I'll consider it. In the meantime, I'm going to find out how my friends like the Droid before I upgrade next year.

Not possible without a major redesign. The iPhone is a GSM phone; Verizon has a CDMA network.

I'd be interested in hearing feedback you get about the Droid. I've heard nothing about it in terms of running the Arbiter.

WARNING: Stoopid person asking stoopid question - Is "EDGE" a "network" in the same manner as "GSM" and "CDMA"? When I'm in rural areas, my Berry goes from EDGE to GSM. Even when I'm in EDGE, I cannot navigate ArbiterSports.com.

Neither have I, as I don't have any friends that fit both categories. Next time I see my youngest brother, I'll steal his phone and log in to Arbiter and let you know. :)

I only remember three characters on this show. I still dream of the three of them taking baths in the water tower. Wet dreams. You know. Because of the baths. And the tower. It was a water tower. Yeah. That's it. Baths and a water tower. With wet water in it. Yeah. That's my story.

No, EDGE is 2G and contrasts with 3G. Both GSM and CDMA can operate in 2G or 3G (or, soon, 4G).

Hope that helps!
