One last thing I just remembered from camp. We had a discussion several months ago about mechanics and how college mechanics sneak into HS games. And somebody even said that they use their HS games as "practice" for their college games. One of the side issues that came up was about stopping the clock in college games. Should the official stop the clock on OOB calls or simply indicate direction (pro-style)?
Well, while I was at camp, I asked both Mickey Crowley and Edgar Cartatto about it and both of them said that the official should stop the clock before indicating direction. And that's for college ball. So if you want to work D1, at least in the Northeast part of the country, don't let the pro mechanics slip into your game. Just passing along the info. BTW, this is post number 1,000 for me! Chuck

Women's CCA Manual.
Are you talking Men's or Women's College.
Women's CCA Mechanics are much more inlined with NBA Mechanics. As a matter of fact, the CCA Manual for Women's Basketball says that for out of bounds plays do not include a stop clock signal. And I also know Women's D1 Officials that do not use a stop clock signal at all during those plays. BTW, congratulations on your 1000 posts. Welcome to the club. Peace

Wow, eight and a half pages of people with zero posts. Why register if you're not going to post? And why would so many people do that?
