WI coach suspended
 

I don't know the teams or the officials, but it's an interesting story nonetheless:

Some short video there....I have no idea where the technical occurred in the original play, either.

Was the player ejected? or DQ'ed for fouls accumulated?

I'm assuming the reporter got the semantics wrong. The ball was definitely alive and it was a contact foul, so it would be difficult to classify as a technical. Intentional, perhaps flagrant contact foul--maybe.

If the player was ejected it must have been ruled flagrant, which a guy sipping a cup of coffee while sitting comfortably at his keyboard in NC with no "feel" for the game really didn't perceive.

Interesting that it made the news.

Wow...Looks pretty un-basketball-like play. I think you have to go with at least an intentional but flagrant was probably the correct call.
