Here is my two cents: I love the look of the gray shirts. I wish we could wear them at both the H.S. and college level.

Mountain West is wearing them too (perhaps same assignor as WAC). I saw them the other day in the TCU/New Mex game.

We've (some in Texas) been wearing them all year for varsity games. I'm told we'll all wear them in playoff games.

With all respect to the late Mendy...

Zebra is still the easiest to spot on the court; whether you're a player or another official, you can see out of the corner of your eye and know it's an official. That's the point behind stripes, just as that's the point behind requiring one team to wear white. We should never even come close to blending in. Dressing NBA officials in those absurd shirts they're wearing this year has done more for igniting retro interest in 1970s Memphis
Tams and 1980s Houston Astros uniforms that it has for advancing "professionalism"

We're the fashion police, not the fashion models.

Besides, Footlocker would have to change its uniform, and we can't have all those minimum wage shoe-fitters being forced to spend $35 bucks on a new shirt.

NC has required them for varsity level comp for 3 years now. Our association uses them for all varsity, JV, and 9th grade assignments. Middle school is still optional stripes or gray as long as both have the same uniform.

Dallas also uses the gray for all varsity (plus JV if you have a doubleheader and one of the games is varsity). I like the look.
