Hmmm. You may want to check with state law on exposing bras, but Fed says nothing.

In all seriousness, with undershirts, you can make them take them off if they don't match the uniform. That's not an option with sports bras.

Just as a related matter...

Occasionally we need to exercise some judgment when it comes to tshirts as well. I'm thinking of a Jr. High girls team I've officiated a couple times who, a few years ago, were handed their uniforms only minutes before their first game -- 10 year old hand me down boys jerseys with enormous gaping arm holes. Many of the girls did not feel comfortable playing dressed like that, and so put on whatever colored tshirts they had under the jerseys. The referees made them take them off.

Correct by rule, but completely the wrong call.

I worked a scrimmage last weekend involving several teams in two gyms. Two teams walked into my gym wearing white reversible scrimmage vests. One coach immediately told his players to change. They did what they were told. Right there in front of everbody. I guess that I'm just too old fashioned, I looked away.

You say "old fashioned" as if that were a bad thing.

Going to go out on a limb here and say the Fed will probably remain silent on this issue for a very long time..... at least I hope so.
