First game in almost a year, and only the 10th or so in two years. And just so much fun. Partner was very odd, and her mechanics were just plain bizarre, but she had excellent judgment and a nice pleasant demeanor so we had a blast. Umpteen zillion held balls (girls' frosh) one DOG warning and then a DOG T, one 5 second call, which was really about 7 seconds but I hadn't started counting in time. Good table people, water at half time, and some lady in the stands that kept smiling and nodding at P and me. no clue why.

One time a friend of mine had gotten involved in one of these Amway type MLM things, and needed me to go to a recruiting "event" with her so she could get points or something. The "motivational speaker" type that was giving the pitch starts off with "How many of you wake up in the morning and think, 'Oh, yeah! I get to go to work today'? I raised my hand. Poor guy had to almost swallow his coffee cup. But it was true then, and it's true now. I LOVE THIS JOB!!
