Someone like the president of your local chapter or association who takes the ball and talks to people at every level, coaches, state directors, state associations and really gets people thinking about what they can do to convince the rest that you need to be doing three man. I do disagree that every one else is using three man. I only know a few states that all games are three man. Most states I know are either all two man or part two or part three man. So using the everyone else is doing it argument doesn't work. You can say that more and more states are using it and we are falling behind the rest in not using it ourselves.

I believe that what will happen in NY state is individual sections will go to 3 man slowly, but the state might remain a "2 man state" for a while (ie 2 man in the state
tourneys). I kinda think that NYC will not be the first, or even in the first bunch that goes to 3 man. That goes for public & catholic school leagues. But I could be wrong...

"wake up coaches"?!

That title was not a very diplomatic way to open your case.

Don't exacerbate the ref/coach relationship. It ain't about us.

You should emphasize the benefits to the game and to the kids (extra set of eyes to catch the off-ball cheater, better angles, game management, dead ball officiating, etc.)

Also, be careful what you ask for, you may get it. You'd better have enough skilled officials (you're increasing your need by 50%), as well as ensure they are trained in 3-person BEFORE you raise the issue (one clinic a year doesn't cut it).

Here in California, some HS coaches like the 3 because the officials that have the most 3-person experience are the college officials, who they love to see on their games.

Also, some constructive criticism: have someone proof read your stuff before publishing or posting. Too many typos may undermine your credibility in the other's eyes.
