Does anybody have suggestions of interesting books for officials to read? I'm not talking so much about instructional books; I mean general interest books, biographies, etc....

The one I know to suggest (which has been mentioned a number of times here) is Earl Strom's "Calling the Shots." Anyone have other suggestions?

I also read and enjoyed Dave Pallone's "Behind the Mask" (which has as much or more to do with the ins and outs of pro umpiring than it does to do with Pallone's sexual preference).

(I'm sure we're probably only a few months away from seeing "The Dee Kantner Story" on store shelves....)

Thanks in advance!

Joe
