This was a "championship" of summer league playoff champions who the went to a national playoff in Philly. Please note (and not just cause I now live in the DC area) that DeMatha was not coached by Morgan, but by their summer league coach. Don't know that it would change the result, but it is an interesting fact to consider. Also, Gonzaga HS won a summer championship in this area the same day that DeMatha lost, but played a Montrose Christian team minus 3 starters (something I have been dealing with in summer ball as well).

All these teams are just doing that summer ball thing and it ain't a real game, ain't a real championship in my book. If it was, we could take that Boston summer NBA league and crown the next world champs - it means about as much. DBTH

That's true, the V coaches are not allowed to participate in these summer things.
