Saw this on the news last night. There's probably a college soccer coach out there ready with a full-ride for this kid.

You're correct it's a violation, but for the wrong reason. He never dribbled, since the ball never left his hand when it touched the floor. (4-15-4 Notes 3) However, it is a travel because the pivot foot returned to the floor before the ball was released on a pass or shot.

Either way, I'm beating you to the locker room when you wipe off that shot.
