An oopsy in typing which I have experienced many a time myself and I'm sure I will in the future..... ;) |

Although I have seen some t-ball games where there is enough confusion that the fielder could have had enough time to run to both third and first for the unassisted triple play. |
Confusion?

Young boy hit a ball in the left-center gap and the coach told him to "keep going." So, he ran down the first base line.....and kept going. Right down the first base line onto the other field and down the third base line! Coach a runnin after him and trying to get him to stop! Absolutely hysterical!!! :p |

Of course the kid-communication things could go on an on. Reminds me of one of my son's teams for 7-year-old baseball a few years ago. Really wild opposing pitcher so we tell the on-deck batter to go up there and "make sure you take one." First pitch, a foot over his head. Takes a big chop at it. Misses. After the at-bat (a resulting strikeout, I think), "Tommy, what happened?" Totally confused that we were even asking: "You told me to 'take one,' so I did -- I took a real big swing!" Sigh. We were more careful with our words after that. |

You are correct. I, misread it, perhaps assuming the play as I expected it to be. I'm sure one of his base references was a typo. Whether 1st and 3rd with tags on 1st and 3rd or 1st and 2nd with tags on each, the point of the story is the same. |

Next season will be last year of AAU basketball. If I can land my core players on a team with a decent coach, I may not even make it that far. It's a dirty world racket. |
The things that are wrong with kid's basketball are parents and coaches trying to live life through the kids. Parents and coaches who take basketball way too seriously cause all the problems.
