WOW!
We have a great game. Our game followed a T fest Boys Championship which saw both the assistant and head from one team being ejected.........The officials had to have a police escort off the court. Anyway we started our pregame with both coached informing them we would not see that in our game. "Right?" I told them this game is not for you (coaches) and not for us (officials, but it's for the kids. So let's remember that. I told the we were going to work real hard for them and that we may miss a call, but that will happen on both ends of the floor. Well at the end of the 1st we had a 3 point game. (White by 3), at half Red up 1, end of 3rd, White up 3, with Red winning my 6. By the way Red started 3 freshman. What a great game. Our fellow officials said we were invisible in the first half. We had a great flow to the game and it was a blast with very little problems with anyone in the place. So the next question is what next....I guess it's JR High time..........Cool! I love this game! Later all. ------------------ Ron Seattle Officials - Women's Basketball [This message has been edited by Ron Pilo (edited March 06, 2000).] |

Way to go Ron. You da man.
JH time is almost over here. I got the boy's championship game for the schools that feed the 5A's in JH. Wasn't much of a game. Which sometimes happens with championships. The thrill of being called to do a championship game was great none the less. Last year I did a championship for Elementary. This year I did one for JH, will I have one next year for HS? One could only dream. You da man. Ron. Keep up the hard work. Hope to see you down here in late July. I'm sure we could find a game you can handle those two weeks.:-) |
