Great short clip of Wilt Chamberlain at age 17.

Did you have the honor of working any of his games?

Note the shape of the 'key' on the outdoor court.

Note at 1:03 the very awkward and obvious travel.

State Shot Putt champion. Those long spindly arms were obviously stronger than they looked.

Okay, is it 'short putt' or 'shot put'? Both are impressive.

I noticed that...

1. People were sitting on the court during that game.

2. The court is tiny. How big was it back then?

I think Wilt was on his first 2-3,000 when this was taken.

There were many courts played on that were smaller then the recommended 84' I remember reading about the guy who scored 132 in a high school game and they mentioned that the court that they played on was 50'x30', so short that there was no back court.
I would guess that many schools didn't have the gym or stage (yes some schools played basketball on their stage) that was the recommended size but according to the NFHS guidelines the games were to be played with hopes that in the future the schools would get a court of the proper size.

There is one like that in Craftsbury, VT that is still being used.
