I have obviously been refereeing for too long, and spending too much time on this board.

Last night I dreampt that I was in the USA, and got the opportunity to referee with Padge. The game was of players around 12 years old, and Juulie was running the scorebench. The only other thing that I really remember is that I called a double foul and and an out of bounds that cam off both teams, and immediately called a jump ball - where I promptly got informed by Juulie that there are no jump balls, we had to go to the arrow. Of course, I knew what the arrow was (thanks to this board) but spent most of the rest of the game muttering under my breath about these stupid rules.

Anyway, thought I would share this with you.

Oh, one more thing - no smart arse comments about me dreaming about Padge!

Also, in America, there's no such thing as a scorebench!

We refer to it as the scorer's table. Just yankin' yer chain, pardner!

BTW, if you have another dream about Padgett, we don't want to hear about it!!

I was at that game! You called two over the backs and a reaching foul. Plus - you let the game go into overtime, which is a cardinal sin in my games. During our pregame, we had an argument about whether the clock should be metric or standard and we finally compromised on dog years.

I did notice your patch was upside down.

I don't know about overtime - but at the end of regulation, all the players (guys) left the game and were substituted by the girls teams - I was obviously perplexed, you explained to me that this was the way games where run - that way the school could just pay referee's for one game.

Stoopid americans!
